Calamity Jane was a well-known figure from the 1850s to the early 1900s. Famous as a sharpshooter and defender of the frontier, she was also known for her kindness to those in trouble. Director Terry Miles brings her story to life on screen.

In the movie, Calamity Jane (Emily Bett Rickards) is close friends with a famous American hero, Wild Bill (Stephen Amell). Things change when Calamity is arrested, cutting off her communication with Wild Bill.

While in jail, she finds out that Wild Bill has been killed during a fixed poker game, which makes her want to avenge and think of escaping prison.

Once Calamity gets out, Sheriff Mason (Tim Rozon) tries to catch and imprison her again. Will Calamity be able to successfully avenge her dear friend?

"The Night They Came Home" is an American western-thriller movie released in 2024 by Lionsgate Home Entertainment. Directed by Paul G. Volk, the movie stars Brian Austin Green, Robert Carradine, and Danny Trejo. The movie is about the attempt to arrest a gangster.

Set in the late 1800s in the Old West, residents are horrified by a terrible threat from the gang of Rufus Buck (Charlie Townsend). The gang commits massive rape and murder for a whole month. This clearly makes the Old West town become unsafe.

Birthright Outlaw,  a western movie which release in 2023, tells the story of a couple who tries to save their family from a big problem. Lucas Black and Sarah Drew play the lead characters, with the screenplay co-written by Justin Strawland and director Aaron Burns.

Jeremiah (Lucas Black) and Martha (Sarah Drew) live happily on the western border with their daughter, Hope (Olivia Sanabia). However, their happiness is shattered when Hope is kidnapped. The local sheriff also steps in to help the couple find their daughter.

Unfortunately, their efforts are fruitless until they get an important clue. The clues not only lead to Hope's location, but also to a secret Martha has been harbouring.

"Strange Way of Life" is a 2023 short film from Western Spain, directed and written by Pedro Almodóvar. It first premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, where it received a lot of praise. The film is about two former snipers who meet up again after 25 years.

Silva (Pedro Pascal) and Jake (Ethan Hawke) were once close friends and lovers but ended up going their separate ways. Years later, Silva pays a visit to Jake, who's now a sheriff. He needs Jake's help to find the person who killed his brother-in-law's lover, a guy named Joe (George Steane).

But as Jake digs deeper, he's shocked to know that Joe is actually Silva's son. This revelation makes Jake question why Silva really came to him.

It turns out, Silva's plan is to help Joe escape to Mexico, using his relationship with Jake. Despite several hurdles, Silva's plan works out. Joe gets away, and in the end, Silva and Jake start living together.

In 2019, the graphic novel "No Rest for the Wicked: Dead Man's Hand" by Kevin Minor and Matthew Minor hit the market. Director Brian Skiba, intrigued by the story, teamed up with screenwriters Skiba and Corin Nemec to adapt it into a film titled "Dead Man's Hand."

The plot centres on Reno (Jack Kilmer), a skilled marksman who plans to leave the cowboy life to marry his girlfriend. Shortly after he marry his girlfriend, Reno kills bandits who tries to attack them in order to defense himself.

However, his action take him to another problem to his life. It's because the one he killed is the brother of the notorious Mayor Bishop (Stephen Dorff). Knowing his brother was killed by Reno, Mayor Bishop is determined to avenge his brother's death.

Bishop and his private army ambush Reno in a brutal act of vengeance. Without Bishop knowing, the killing machine inside Reno is now reignited to unleash his rage.

Starring Chantelle Albers, Hannah James, and Cam Gigandet, this movie faced quite a bit of criticism for its acting and story. But, it's still a good watch for those who like Western movies. It's about two women trying to create the life they want in a small town.

Alice (Chantelle Albers) and Nora (Hannah James) are two independent women who got in trouble and were kicked out of their town. They decide to start fresh and plan to open a little restaurant in a small Virginia town.

Along the way, they run into Elden (Cam Gigandet), a bounty hunter who's been hurt. Alice and Nora help him with his injuries.

Hoping for a reward from Elden, Alice and Nora end up in a love triangle and an awful situation. They get mixed up in Elden's hunt for a dangerous bandit named Gila Grimes (Cord Newman). The big question is, what will happen to Alice and Nora?
