Written by Sera Serinda A

The Fate series is one of the most popular anime franchises with loyal fans. Fate/stay night series debuted as a game for the Windows platform and was created by Type-Moon, a visual novel developer.

The series evolved from the game into a manga and then an anime. After its creation in 2004, the Fate/stay night manga debuted in Shonen Ace magazine in February 2006 and ran until December 2012.

Studio Deen adapted the first series of the Fate franchise into a 24-episode anime in the same year. With all the different Fate titles, it might be hard for new fans to figure out where to start.

Now, we'll go over the best way to watch the anime so you can get the most out of it. Read the list down below!

Fate Anime Sequence

1. Fate/zero (2011)

Fate zero (2011)__

Fate depicts the story of Shirou Emiya, a young man who becomes entangled in the Fifth Holy Grail War, a mythological and magical conflict. Furthermore, Fate/zero is the second anime adaptation of the Fate franchise.

It is a prequel to the 2006 film Fate/stay night. Kiritsugu Emiya, Shirou's adoptive father, is the primary character in this anime. The story takes place ten years before the events of Fate/stay night, during the Fourth Holy Grail War, in which Kiritsugu participates.

Even though this film serves as a prequel, it is recommended that you first watch the Fate/stay night series in order to truly enjoy it.

2. Fate/stay night (2006)
