A Mai's family members are murdered by her childhood friend Chen Qi (Sun Shao Long), it breaks her heart. To seek justice, she disguises herself as a man to enlist in the military to find Chen Qi.

On her journey, A Mai meets Shang Yi Zhi (Zhang Hao Wei), the son of the Grand Princess, whom she rescues from danger. Together, they forge a strong partnership on the battlefield.

As time passes, A Mai's desire for revenge fades, she becomes more focused on defending her troops and becomes a war general assisted by Shang Yi Zhi.
